day four

It's raining today. Tuesday's picnic in the botanical gardens with my girlfriends Jessica, Erika, and Marina was rain checked too. But not from actual rain, turns out I am not the only one sickie-poo—both Jess and Marina came down with the flu :( boo to the flu! and boo to my dizzy head!
I think I may be getting the hang of this being stuck in bed thing, though. Maybe? The key? You need more stuff stuck in bed with you! Today we have some zines, some stationary to maybe write a few letters, and a book with zombies in it... gotta have zombies.
Something to knit... not sure what it's going to be just yet, but I'm knitting it nevertheless. Maybe a cowl or a shrug?
More movies! This is one of my all time favorite movies, I love Jeremy the crow. And for a bit of hanasaurusrex trivia, when I was a kid I could do an impression that was a dead ringer for the great owl... "Come inside or go away." This always made my mom eye me strangely and laugh.
To keep myself most entertained today, though, I've got my trusty Tickle Monster paws. Noooo, there will be no tickling going on—trivia #2: I am deathly ticklish—no, these are just the right amount of silliness needed to keep one from going crazy insane whilst stuck in bed.
They've got handy little finger holes, I suspect so you can tickle your poor helpless child with them between page turns of the book that goes with them. When I think back on all the times I was helplessly trapped in my father's merciless grasp while he tickled the pee out of me.... well, let's just say... revenge will be sweet someday, dad.
As for me, though, I like to wear them while I read...
or while I blog.
Next up on our movie list for today... It's a classic and one that I've been known to quote on more than one occassion. "Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!" Haahahaaaa... definitely some of Mr. Myers' best work.

Now, "HEAD! MOVE!" No! Wait.. don't move.

p.s. I did go to the ER yesterday, mostly to rule out that anything major is causing this dizziness. And again, after having all my blood work check out okay, I was given an IV of saline to hydrate me and some anti-dizzy meds, and sent home. I read somewhere yesterday that vertigo can last sometimes 2–3 weeks!?!! UGH! I think I'll force myself to deal with it if it lasts that long, though I still won't be able to drive. Hopefully it will work itself out before then. My friend, Kate, suggested I try switching the side of the bed I sleep on... check! And my friend Katie suggested I try some thing called Cocculus Indicus, which I'm guessing is a supplement for inner ear health. I'll definitely have to check it out.
