I am officially sprung for spring! All the beautiful florals I am finding around every cyber corner have me a little jealous of you! (the tables turn).
Here in Hawaii we don't really experience four seasons — more like two — wet and dry, but I'm not complaining! They are an awesome two seasons. Even though I do kind of miss, well, not kinda... I really miss the feeling of spring and fall around here. Last fall, as I looked around at all the Thanksgiving and Halloween decorations, I realized more than ever how I was longing for the first chills of winter to go along with my pumpkin pie. But every evening it remained a balmy seventy-five degrees.
The spring season is no exception. As much as I love the sweet smell of Plumerias and Ginger — their perfumes waft on the trade wind breezes practically all year long — I find myself really missing the host of other gorgeous flowers you can find in excess back home. Ranunculus and Peonies do exist here, although in very short season and costing a pretty penny to buy. The only Poppy you can find is a prickly poisonous one.
Ahhh... I guess posting these images up all around me will have to do.... unless... anyone want to send me a spring bouquet?!! I'd love you forever ;)
